Mary Hasbury

After RADA training, Mary toured for two years with the Osiris Repertory Company taking Shakespeare, classics and modern plays to schools, villages, naval bases, remote areas - anywhere and everywhere throughout the British Isles. She followed this with conventional repertory seasons at Sheffield, Chester, Jersey, LLandudno and Crewe, and a play at the Embassy Theatre at Swiss Cottage in London. She also worked in early television, and was in a film for HTV.

While raising a family she worked with amateur goups in the West Midlands, Somerset and Berkshire, taught drama for her Local Education Authority, and was for some years an associate member of GODA (Guild of Drama Adjudicators) having already adjudicated local and regional festivals. Since moving to Sidmouth in 1990 she has worked with the Summer Repertory Company and with amateur groups on the area, acting and directing.

Mary has also contributed over 470 reviews and articles to East Devon newspapers.
